Reading/Viewing and Responding
My students used ePortfolios to respond to a variety of things:
1. They studied pictures that required them to analyze the artists' messages.
2. They read portions of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, worked as groups to create a variety of publications and they wrote letters to teens facing drop-out scenarios using the skills and knowledge gained by reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens.
3. They read articles dealing with gun control, being an American, parenting skills, drug laws and junkfood. They posted blog responses to the articles.
4. They viewed and created blog posts about a Ted Talk.
5. They researched topics/themes from Romeo and Juliet and created PowerPoints, brochures and websites.

PowerPoints, brochures and websites created for our mini-research project dealing with themes from Romeo and Juliet.
My students did some research about bullying as preparation for several novels that we are reading in class dealing with bullying.
